I recently went on an adventure to L.A.’s downtown fabric district, and the first fabric that instantly caught my eye was this amazingly vibrant print. It was calling to me, begging me to transform into an even more beautiful, long maxi skirt.
Basically, it is the same pattern as the summer maxi dress, except for the dramatic front slits. To do this, I added more width to the back panel of the skirt and deducted the amount of fabric on the front of the panel, but still allowed the panels to overlap.
I also added a purple underlining skirt! It’s all attached together with a handy dandy elastic waistband! And to finish it all off, the hem is rolled by serger.
